MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Students,
We are delighted to announce the establishment of Late Adv. Ku. Shalaka Santosh Khandge Law College, a new constituent institution under Nutan Maharashtra Vidya Prasarak Mandal (NMVPM), in the academic year 2025–26. This college furthers our long-standing commitment to expanding access to high-quality legal education and to preparing future-ready legal professionals who combine rigorous
knowledge with social sensitivity.
The Nutan Maharashtra Vidya Prasarak Mandal (NMVPM), Talegaon Dabhade, Pune, traces its roots to the early 20th-century Indian freedom movement. Established in 1906 to provide nationalistic education to youth in the rural Maval region, NMVPM was founded with the aim of empowering communities through education. One of the foremost visionaries associated with NMVPM was Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak, who served as the first President of the Governing Body for 12 years. Tilak championed the cause of & national education& to instill self-reliance and patriotism among young learners. Over the decades NMVPM has expanded into a network of schools, colleges, and professional institutions offering courses across arts, science, commerce, law, engineering, and vocational studies, driven by a
mission of academic excellence and community service.
Late Adv. Ku. Shalaka Santosh Khandge Law College was established in 2025 to impart socially relevant and professionally rigorous legal education. From its inception, the college will provide an outstanding environment for teaching, learning, and research focused on scholarly excellence, innovation, and ethical practice. A vibrant community of students and faculty will foster camaraderie and collaborative scholarship as the college develops.

Affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University, the college emphasizes critical thinking and responsiveness to contemporary legal challenges. To supplement traditional university curricula, we will offer a broad spectrum of courses and specialised programmes that build practical skills and deepen subject knowledge. The college will host centres and activities geared toward clinical legal education, moot courts, internships, and community legal outreach. Our academic programmes will address a wide range of legal and policy issues, including civil rights, constitutional law, corporate governance, environmental law, labour and employment, health law, animal rights, and criminal justice. We are
committed to social justice, public service, and shaping graduates who are ethically grounded and professionally competent.
