MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

The Nutan Maharashtra Vidya Prasarak Mandal established LAKSSK in the year 2025 with a primary objective to provide degree legal education to the underdeveloped area of Maval around Talegaon. The surrounding area has since grown significantly, with expanding judicial infrastructure, district courts, and a rising need for legal professionals, creating a fresh opportunity for a strong Bar- Bench-Institute relationship.

As a newly established institution, LAKSSK is currently nurturing its very first batch of law who are expected to graduate in the coming years. We are confident that, true to the legacy of our parent institution, these students will go on to be gainfully placed as practicing advocates, legal consultants, and in judicial services.

Nutan Maharashtra Vidya Prasarak Mandal has provided all necessary funds for the establishment of LAKSSK, so that the entire infrastructure, comprising the building, moot court hall, legal aid clinic, library, and classrooms, has been developed to a state-of-the-art standard right from inception. Dignitaries and members of inspection committees from the Bar Council of India, the Directorate of Higher Education, Pune University, as well as eminent jurists, senior advocates, and members of the judiciary who have visited the institute, have appreciated the
facilities provided. Alongside these facilities, the Institute is supported by a committed, energetic faculty dedicated to teaching and mentoring students in the law.

Though newly established, LAKSSK has quickly begun gaining a name in the nearby area, and we are already seeing keen interest from students across Mumbai and the Konkan region, Marathwada, Vidarbha, and Pune proper, who are choosing this institute for their legal education. Nutan Maharashtra Vidya Prasarak Mandal carries a rich historical and philosophical legacy spanning over 107 years, which we are committed to instilling in every student studying at LAKSSK. A student of LAKSSK is expected to belegally sound, ethically grounded, and socially conscious. LAKSSK will always strive to uphold this vision while furthering legal education and research in the years ahead.
